The Academy & Community
Ganeden Freedom Farm Academy is envisioned as a place of learning, skill-building, and shared knowledge. Many people today graduate from school without the practical skills needed to grow food, build structures, care for animals, or live sustainably. At the same time, many elders hold deep knowledge that has been passed down through generations but is often overlooked in modern society. Ganeden seeks to bridge that gap.
Learning by Doing
Learning happens through participation — working with the land and engaging in daily life on the farm. Through workshops, apprenticeships, and immersive experiences, participants learn practical skills including:
Regenerative farming and permaculture
Animal husbandry
Carpentry and natural building
Homesteading skills
Survival and land-based living
Horse therapy and animal care
Generations Learning Together
In the coming years, there are also plans to develop educational programs for young people and families, creating a space where generations can come together to share wisdom, knowledge, and experience.
By reconnecting people with the land and with practical skills, Ganeden aims to cultivate a culture of resilience, creativity, and stewardship. From workshops to small events and collaborative projects, the farm creates opportunities for meaningful connection rooted in place.
