REGENERATIVE FARMING & FOOD FOREST
At the heart of Ganeden is a commitment to regenerative agriculture — farming practices that restore the soil, strengthen ecosystems, and produce nutrient-dense food.
Healthy soil is the foundation of everything. By rebuilding soil biology and working with natural systems rather than against them, regenerative farming creates resilient land that can support abundant crops, healthy livestock, and long-term ecological balance.
Food Forest
Ganeden is working in partnership with the Food Forest Abundance network, founded by Jim Gale, to help design and develop an integrated food forest system on the land. A food forest mimics natural ecosystems, combining fruit and nut trees, shrubs, perennial vegetables, herbs, and medicinal plants into a layered, self-sustaining landscape.
Over time, the goal is to transform the land into a highly productive regenerative farm that produces food, medicine, and ecological abundance.
Animals
The farm will also include livestock systems, including sheep herding and other forms of animal husbandry, which play an important role in soil health, land stewardship, and farm productivity.
Through thoughtful design and stewardship, Ganeden will demonstrate how agriculture can regenerate the earth while supporting healthy communities.
Our Vision
Ganeden means Garden of Eden — a vision of bringing heaven to earth through land stewardship, healthy food, and community. Our goal is to create a place where people reconnect with the soil, with real skills, and with each other.
The Land
Ganeden sits on 33 acres of fertile land in northern New Mexico, bordered by the Pecos River and nourished by flowing acequia water and an artesian well. With homes, gardens, open fields, and horse facilities, the land offers the foundation for a thriving regenerative farm.
The Food Forest & Farming
By rebuilding soil and working with natural systems, we are creating a productive regenerative farm and food forest. In partnership with the Food Forest Abundance network, the land will grow nutrient-dense food while restoring the ecosystem that sustains it.
The Academy & Community
Ganeden Freedom Farm Academy will offer hands-on learning in regenerative agriculture, animal husbandry, building, and practical life skills. It is also a place where generations come together to share knowledge and cultivate a resilient future.
